I predominantly grew up in the magnificent northwest surrounded by mountains, dense forests, and alongside the Pacific Ocean or the great Columbia River. Exploring the wonders of God has never ceased to capture my interest. I delight in the little creatures and tiny specimens, as well as the grand scales of creation. I love to hike, ride my bicycle, go camping, cook healthy meals, and read. My biggest passion is for sharing my love for Jesus with students who are energetic, curious, creative, and compassionate. I have enjoyed teaching multi-grades since 2004 after completing my BS degree from Union College in Lincoln, NE. I completed an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in reading from Grand Canyon University in 2013.
My life has been enriched by following Jesus's words in Mark 10:14 and I believe that school is a community for building character, discovering identity and purpose, and experiencing joy when we share our talents and testimony with others. I am amazed and humbled to be a mother of two vibrant sons who teach me new things every day, and am loved and supported by my husband, Robert. God is abundantly good!
